Burr and Burton Recognizes Faculty and Staff for Devoted Service




Burr and Burton Academy recently honored faculty and staff members for their long service to the school. Burr and Burton Academy Headmaster Charles W. Scranton recognized the exceptional service of faculty and staff members in a special presentation at the school’s weekly assembly.

Mathematics Department faculty and longtime soccer and softball coach Dan DeForest received special recognition for his 30 years of service to Burr and Burton. Arts Department Chair Betsy Hubner received the thanks of the school for her twenty years of service. Bill Muench, Gary Baker, and Tony Napolitano were honored for their fifteen years of service. Faculty and staff members Mary Blair, Georgia Chingos, Milissa Cone, Kathy Croft, Jamie Hill, Meg Kenny, Barbara Muench, and Chris Nolan were honored for their ten years of service.

Assistant Headmaster Steve Houghton presented outgoing Headmaster Chuck Scranton with a Burr and Burton insignia chair, announcing his honorary induction into the Joseph Wickham Society in recognition of his dedicated service to Burr and Burton during his fifteen-year tenure. The Joseph Wickham Society, named for the school’s longest serving headmaster, honors faculty and staff who have served for 25 years.
